I favor Glitch in this matchup given its short but successful track record. They're going up against Glitch despite being a rookie, the team has KO'd the likes of Hydra and Kraken. Shredderator's other win came against a rookie multi-bot. Its win against Tombstone was out of sheer luck since the King of Kinetic Energy's prized bot caught fire and failed, giving Shredderator the win. Who else but Captain Shredderator? A robot that I thought should be retired is now in the tournament. I wonder which one would triumph - if this actually happens? This has a chance of happening assuming Hydra and Blip can make it to the Elite 8 - in which they'd play each other. The gigantic moving jungle gym on the other hand is not competing in this tournament.
Can they get past Lucky or will the latter get you cky. This goes to Copperhead, which the team and robot are in sore need of redeeming themselves after what happened last year when they lost that split JD to Mammoth - primarily due to their weapon not working for some of the match. I don't think very much of hammer bots in general, but Shatter! has gotten the job done this season. I could easily see a fully functional Hydra toss Ribbot around like a rag-doll. Even at 1-2, I do wonder if their lackluster regular season was a fluke. Hydra over Ribbot - assuming Hydra beats Defender, which I have to say is likelier than vice versa.
